About

A compact, field-deployable microprofiling instrument designed for in-situ measurements with interchangeable microsensors for oxygen, pH, sulphide (S⁻⁻/H₂S) and temperature. Profiling can be performed with a spatial resolution of 50 µm. Typical deployment scenarios include sediment–water interfaces (from tidal flats to ~100 m water depth), bio-films for organic-matter transformation studies, and under ice for respiration and primary production of ice algae. Systems are available with a detachable 3-leg AISI 316 stainless steel base; variants are pressure-compensated and furnished with Subconn connectors and end-stop magnets. Pressure-compensated sensor housings and pressure-stable connectors are available, tested up to 800 bar.
