About

The KC Denmark Ballast Water Analyzer is an automated system developed in collaboration with MicroWise to provide reliable compliance testing of ballast water. It ensures conformity with international standards (IMO D2 and US Coast Guard) that restrict ballast water discharge to a maximum of 10 living organisms/m³ >50 µm and 10 living organisms/ml between 10–50 µm. The system enables fast, on-site detection of living organisms without chemical treatment or advanced laboratory skills. The patented BallastWISE technology combines manual microscopy principles with image analysis and size fractionation, offering automated counting and differentiation of organisms. The analyzer is portable, durable, and available in both standard and inline valve-free versions for various shipboard or port applications.
