About
The KC Denmark Agassiz trawl 19.650 is a benthic sampling tool designed to collect organisms, especially invertebrates, from the ocean floor. The trawl is built from AISI 316 stainless steel tubing (40 x 40 x 4 mm) with a robust rectangular frame fitted with chains on all sides to maintain ground contact during towing. It is equipped with a 6 m long outer nylon net bag (mesh size 40 x 40 mm) closed by a loop, and an optional inner bag with 10 x 10 mm knotless mesh for finer sampling. The frame is electro-polished for marine corrosion resistance, though a painted version is available on request. The trawl is fitted with a 10 mm diameter steel towing wire and bridle.
