About
KC Denmark Manta trawl net model 23.500 is a surface-sampling net system designed for collecting microplastics and other materials from the ocean surface. The trawl consists of an AISI 316 stainless steel frame with a thin-mesh nylon net (standard 300 µm) and a pair of adjustable wings bolted onto an inner frame. The wings and towing bridle can be adjusted to control the sampling height, ensuring efficient collection from the uppermost layer of the water column. The rear sample cylinder is made from stainless steel and fitted with five mesh-covered windows of the same mesh size as the main net. Small buoyancy elements keep the system horizontally balanced during towing.
