About

The WP2 plankton net is a high-quality, standardized net for plankton sampling. It is constructed with a stainless steel ring and Monodur Nytal (Nylon) conical net, and can be equipped with a digital flow meter to measure the volume of water filtered. The net is available in three diameters: Ø57 cm (0.25 m²), Ø70 cm (0.38 m², Nansen closing net), and Ø75 cm (0.44 m²). The WP3 model (Ø113 cm, 1.0 m²) is also available as the Indian Ocean Standard Net. The setup includes stainless steel fittings, bridle lines, and an optional Nansen release mechanism for messenger-operated closure.
