About
The KC Denmark plankton pump for 150 m depth is used to draw seawater through a water pipe into a plankton net. The standard configuration includes a 60 µm net, with other mesh sizes available upon request. The pump can be deployed at a fixed location, providing reliable volume measurements of filtered water. It offers up to 26,000 liters per hour capacity (approx. 433 L/min at 0 m water column) and is constructed for rugged oceanographic field operations. An optional integrated flow meter can be added to measure filtered water volume accurately. Deployment requires a separate steel wire since the power cable cannot bear the pump’s weight.
